Jennifer Sampson

Creative Director, Jones & Co

Jen grew up in the Blue Mountains of NSW doing what all indie kids do, growing dreadlocks, listening to Nick Cave and vintage clothes shopping. Jen started her career driving the lift in the Castlereagh St David Jones and after this made her motion sick she followed her love of fashion and aesthetic pleasures into a ten year long tenure at Myer in VM where she was often found in the Market St windows with a staple gun tween her teeth. After moving over to Diesel and opening stores with them as National VM she was bewitched by the Italian powerhouse and its unique brand identity. Meeting and working with Jennifer Jones at Diesel and even one lunchbreak coining the name for her as yet unrealized homewares brand “Have You Met Miss Jones”. It was written in the stars. Her posse nowadays consists of her husband of many years and two sons who are patient with her ever changing the artwork, colour palette and furniture around constantly. She loves travelling with JJ twice a year to visit their factories of artisans and feels excited each and every time she sees a new sample of their designs come to life. She can still tell you what’s on every floor of DJ’s Castlereagh St from her lift driving days and can’t sit down until the living room is merchandised.
