Fab planter - perfect size

Love the beauty of a this hand finished planter with loads of character - bought one for me and one to gift a good friend. Has a small drainage hole (no plug).

Birdie Planter Blue

I have deducted one point from an otherwise very happy purchase because I want to use the planter as a vase which means I need to insert a glass jar/vase into the planter to hold flowers in water. This process is not so easy because of the shape of the opening - it will only take a small jar/vase. The opening is quite oval in shape and thus limits the type of water I can insert. It is my only complaint.

As I said otherwise I am vey happy with the style, colouring and interest the planter has generated sitting on my table.
